Progressive offers the SpiraSep submerged technology from Trisep Corp. SpiraSep combines air scour, backflushing and immersed operation, with the inherent structural advantages of a spiral wound membrane, to provide the ultimate filtration technology.
The result is a high flux, low energy, low fouling ultra filtration process that eliminates any membrane integrity issues.
Progressive also offers the hollow-fiber membrane ultra filtration as well. The Dow product, for instance, is a outside-In flow configuration. This style is tolerant of wide-ranging feed water qualities and allows air scour cleaning. The dead-end flow offers higher recovery and energy savings. The pressurized vertical shell-and-tube design eliminates the need for separate pressure vessels and allows easy removal of air from cleaning and integrity testing steps.
